Deen For All

Deen for all is a voluntary, fully constituted organisation set up by young professionals from Rochdale, Greater Manchester. The goal is to bring different communities together and help improve the relationship between different faiths.

The aim in brief is to:

  • Bring people together in peace and promote mutual understanding within their own masjid/local areas; without any discrimination of any kind.
  • Provide support and contribute to building a peaceful and better community.
  • Promote mutual understanding with a spirit of friendship and respect.
Deen 4 All has recently carried out the following activities in improving community relations:

1) Regular talks on topical issues in various Deen 4 All Mosques. The Deen 4 All masjids take turns to hold talks. The Ameer instructs the speakers of the mix group who will be attending. In such circumstances, matters which there is a consensus on are discussed without offending anyone. This enables better understanding between brothers. All Deen 4 All programmes are conducted in the English Language. Deen 4 All invites outside Imams to provide important lectures to the youth of Rochdale.

2) Mosque Open Days. Non Muslims from various communities are invited for an opportunity to learn about Islam and Prayer.

3) Meal evenings. Brothers from different Mosques get together for meal evenings out. Again this helps to promote friendship and trust between brothers from different areas.

4) Conferences. Deen 4 All following the London bombings has held conferences in community centres promoting a better understanding between Muslims and those of other faiths. Speakers from Islamic and Christian faiths have spoken on violence from their faith perspective.

Deen 4 All has arranged for a Town Hall event on 20/11/2005 to commence at 5.30-8.30p.m. The conference is on Faith and Equality. This continuous the work of du’wa and promoting a better understanding of Islam and good community relations. Deen 4 All is always on the look out for fresh ideas, volunteers and local sponsors to help us in our initiatives.
